GlenWood Park Retirement Village is a continuing care
retirement community established in 1968 by the West
Virginia Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church.
Community and church leaders shared a vision in the late
1950s and early 1960s of a faith-based facility that would
serve the aged. Today that vision stands in southern West
Virginia as the only church-affiliated continuing care
retirement community in the state.
Our
ecumenical program includes independent living, assisted
living and skilled nursing care on a 50-acre campus that
offers inspiring views of God’s handiwork.
Independent
living is provided in apartments and
townhouses located near the main building. GlenWood is
licensed to care for 75 people in assisted living, where
residents can choose among single apartments, studios or
suites. The health care section includes 67 beds, all
licensed for skilled nursing care.
